tomorrow is my 30th birthday. as a gift, river decided to do a little redecorating. he knows how much i want a new couch. not having a credit card or opposable thumbs, he can't get me a new one himself, but he thought at least he could make an improvement to the old one.
out with the old cushion...
sayonara to the 4th dog bed in a row too, for good measure
and in with the new...
much better. everything can be improved with the addition of a little animal print.
oh rivadawg. you shouldn't have.
no really.

This may be a strange comment, but my Luna tore up every dog bed I got her until I made her a dog bed out of my old college memory foam mattress pad. I think she liked that it smelled like me (?) and we have kept it for 3 years now. Just in case you have some old memory foam around your house... But the couch? You win with that one...
If the cushion's cover isn't too damaged (or if you're handy with a sewing needle!) it's actually pretty easy to make a replacement for pillows and cushions. If you find a foam cushion that's comfortable enough or matches the feel of the remaining ones, all you have to do is measure the cover, cut out the foam with a serrated knife (or electric carving knife), and apply the fiberfill wrap with some spray adhesive! Then again... this could be the perfect excuse to get a new couch too!
