before & after: yours truly

i got my hair trimmed before our wedding in june, but previously, i hadn't gotten a haircut in about eight months. and i was starting to look like the 20th duggar child.

hair of this magnitude is a pain. literally. it was always getting caught in my purse straps, pulled by my husband on accident, tied in knots...i couldn't even wear a ponytail because it was too heavy. something had to be done.

so i kissed it goodbye...

got it nice and straight...

and chopped it all off for pantene's beautiful lengths, inspired by my friend nishta's touching story.

i feel like a new woman!

now to replace that horrid fan...

OK I feel like you did this post for me - ha. I got two inches cut last Thursday and am still feeling like I'm in Duggar territory. I just can't give up the long hair because I'm trying to do the whole "I'm married and didn't cut my hair short right afterwards thing" except now it's been a year. I need to give it up. I feel you on the pain - try having your dog sleep on your hair and you try to roll over. Yeah... I'll look into Pantene. I didn't want to do Locks of Love bc it needed to be SO long. By the way - the new do is presh.

I just lopped off 4 inches myself. You look gorgeous!

Your hair looks so pretty long, but even more fantastic short. I love growing mine long and then cutting it off dramatically. Next time I chop it, I definitely want to donate it to a cause that creates wigs. Thanks for the link!

So I meandered over here from Painting the Roses white because your profile pic was too awesome to ignore. Then I saw your bedroom and knew this was my kind of blog. Where are those throw pillows from? The whole room is absolutely gorg!

That was pretty cool of you to cut your locks too. I'm digging the Duggar reference. Did you see when the Duggar boy proposed? That was awkward.

how did I miss this???

I have always loved la avec short(er) hair...very sophisticated & chic!

actually, I just got my letter a few weeks ago, from the Pantene folks, confirming that they received my donation & it became part of a wig :) some woman is going to be lucky to have that beautiful hair of yours!

Oh, you look fantastic. I just chopped all my hair off too. But I look like a boy now. It's not short short, just short.

And that fan has to go...get a move on, would ya! (That's me making a joke...not a good one, but one nonetheless!)
